Timber Tuhumury has experienced a few things in his working life: from being a delivery boy to working night shifts at a hotel, from catering to working in event organization, from a marketing assistant to an international mobility agent on the other side of the world. He’s also visited many places around the globe: he was lucky enough his parents took him with them on many of their journeys when he was young, and he’s picked up their habit of venturing far away ever since—spending much of his life in different countries.

Though he loves the world and all its wonderful intricate reality, he’s always dreamed of different things. Broader things. Not about wealth, fame or power—far from it. No, he always dreamed about everything. But like many do, he learned early on that life is fleeting and you can’t always have everything, except when you use a little cheat code called imagination. Writing is a tool of imagination, and as both a writer and a reader, you can put yourself in the shoes of anyone you want to be—or not want to be at all. This way you create the possibility to experience different lives, places, and stories that would normally be beyond reach. The best part of it all, Timber thinks, is that no matter the experience (good or bad, uplifting or heart-wrenching, peaceful or chaotic, hilarious or tear-jerking), you can always “be home by dinner time”. A sort of healthy escapism if you will. That’s why he loves being an author, and just like other authors have done for him, he wishes to share his experiences with you.

Jorden never had a taste for the mundane; he was always tempted to distort it with a new angle of creativity. The world is an endless
row of doors, and each door holds a beautiful story. As he grew older, he strived not only to open as many doors as possible, but to
learn from what he saw, and retell the stories in his own worlds of pen and paper. A mind that is both elderly and juvenile at heart, he
aims to recreate the beauty he sees in everything around him. After learning the craft of storytelling, Jorden is looking forward to
share his tales of fiction to the world.

Fun Fact: the name Woodtub is derived from both of our names, Timber of course being the part that is Wood, whilst Kuijper (Jorden’s last name, pronounced as “kuip-er”) is the part that is tub. The word “kuip” means tub in Dutch.
